Was glad to be reminded of "Can't Find Things", a song loved back in those days. Also thanks for the cover of Surprise Surprise's single "Cried All My Tears". I used to know the guys in that band (who also part of the Sussex scene and who later were called simply Surprise). My old band Worm Technology quite often played the Sussex back then, alongside such acts as Voight 465. Ah, those were the days! keep up the good work on your blog!Leigh Blackmorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15383256646407758925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6771218616786939284.post-31295562207676713582014-02-11T21:50:03.435+11:002014-02-11T21:50:03.435+11:00Actually you might be surprised to know the turnta...Actually you might be surprised to know the turntable is a "cheapie" and nothing special. I do however clean each record carefully ( with a soft damp cloth and only water ) as well as using declick / decrackle software ( called ClickRepair ) and use some minor mastering filters and equalisation. The real secret is digitising with care and proper sound levels and not over processing the sound.sideroomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07214611502661381611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6771218616786939284.post-78534835046966980272014-02-10T17:37:23.709+11:002014-02-10T17:37:23.709+11:00Just came across your blog - lovely variety and ex...Just came across your blog - lovely variety and excellent reproduction. Curious as to turntable and cartridge your using - quality of sound is so superior to some very woeful vinyl based blogs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
