Seems though I have a hundred Primitives singles because they keep appearing at a regular rate !
The Z-Cars ( not to be confused with the z-Scars from Latvia ! ) were a Melbourne band who the ravages of time have blurred my memory on totally. The Gist is of course Stuart Moxham ( and his brother Phillip ) who was also in Weekend.
If you look at the comments for this post a few people have made some great suggestions re the podcasts and being able to indentify the songs more easily, I'm seeing what I can come up with and will get back to you on that.

Just discovered your fantastic site and have been dowloading all the files. I think it's a really cool concept for a musicblog and I'm extremely jealous of your collection.
I realise it's too much work to have the song as seperate files but it'd be nice to have at least timestamps in the tracklist so it's easer to identify the seperate songs. Just an idea and maybe it wouldn't take too much of your time.
And thanks for all the cover scans as well

yeah...hey great idea...if you know how to do the timestamping please email me and let me know how...I've often wondered about if this was possible !!

Haha I think I made it sound more advanced than I meant. I figured you could just write down the time each track begins and write it in the tracklist ;)
The times should be easy to identify in whatever program your using
I use to write the tracklisting of each podcast on the lyrics section of the file. Then, it's very easy to me to know each song and band even through my iPod.
By the way, I just want to say thanks so much for this beautiful blog. I really enjoy every podcast that you launch. Keep on it!
And, just a request. Have you got the single that Monterey launch in Matinee some years ago? I listened the Harper Lee's cover "Motorway" and it's a wonderful song. It would be great to listen the original one.

hahaha! Bruce, I was reading the comments and its seems I'm not the only one with the tracklisting problem...but since your the master of the sideroom songs I just take it as it is...as long as you're happy making it, i'd listen to your recommendations! what I did was print out the tracklists and I have it handy in my bag...so when i'm listening on my ipod...I just pull it once in awhile to check the ones i don't know! great idea on the time stamp though.
It takes time to cut them up into tracks but still retain the "mixed intro/outro" sound of the podcasts.
btw, I'm still in love with The Particles and that lovely, lovely "Trumpet Song"! how hard would it be to track down an original copy of this??
