#104 - not so "Mutton Jeff"

My ears have cleared up a bit - not fully but enough to bang out a few mixes...

2 more flexis from zines start the ball rolling today, Esmerelda's Kite from a split with The Groove Farm ( from a Woosh ) and Snowbirds from an interesting fanzine/booklet type arrangement from Lucky Bag called Popsickle.

I mentioned another Woosh flexi back on #96 and how good that one's contents were, well this one with Esmerelda's Kite / The Groove Farm is also a beauty featuring articles on MBV, Jesse Garon & The Desperadoes, The Siddeleys, St Christopher, The Pastels, Remember Fun & The Soup Dragons among others - so another great lineup. Not only that, but there was a 2nd flexi with the Pooh Sticks ( that's further down the pile here and will be featured shortly ).

Don't forget you can ( still ) buy a Snowbirds CDR comp from ( the now sadly defunct ) Cosy.

White Town follow with an epic tale ( actually the b-side of "Catherine" ) and then some raw/early Triffids and then 2 xSydney bands - Fiction Romance ( who were a Fabian Byrne band post Fast Cars ) & Catchcry - a post Riptides band for Andrew Leitch.

Leeds and Liverpool then represented...this version of Treason being the original Zoo version. And a Baggie vibed up Cud..and then finally The Golden Dawn post Sarah.

hope ya likem...

Well you sure got me with this playlist! There was only 4 0ut of the 10 songs I had heard before. However you did have one of my all time favourite songs "The Cutter". It was great to hear it live last time they played in Sydney.
Cheers....stranded
